Bodhran  Level 2
Gateway to Great Playing

This course is aimed at bodhran players who seek to advance their playing skills beyond the basics of simply keeping a beat. To benefit from the class students must be able to play a few patterns supporting reels and jigs at moderate tempos.  The goal of the class is to help students learn the playing techniques used by most intermediate bodhran players including: modern tipper grips, tone production and management, rim shots, triplets and rolls. Those playing  techniques will be used to explore an extensive bank of sticking patterns for reels, jigs and turn-around measures.
