Taping a Bodhran Head

Teacher and performer Michael Bell demonstrates how to tape a bodhran head.

Many, perhaps most, bodhran benefit from putting tape on the head.  Doing this eliminates the muddy, blurry sound that can be produced when the head is too free to vibrate.  Mathew will provide a clear explanation of why this is important.

For the price of some sandpaper and a roll of electrical tape, you may be able to increase the quality of the voice of your bodhran in dramatic fashion.  This a video all bodhran players should see
